Luzon Family Farm was built by Ian and Amy Bowman, two people whose lives have been shaped by hard work, community, and a genuine love for the land. Ian’s journey began as a student at Narrogin Agriculture College, after which he returned to the family farm in Tambellup, Western Australia, to put his knowledge into practice. In 1978, he was awarded a Farm Study Program to the United States, an experience that broadened his perspective before he returned home in 1980 to continue managing the family farm. When the farm was sold in 1988, Ian’s career took him through rural insurance consulting, ownership of a construction hire company, business management, running a vehicle mechanical repair workshop, and logistics work on Western Australia’s Gas Pipeline — all while remaining an active and dedicated member of the community through Lions International. For the past 10 years, Ian has proudly managed Amy’s homestay, bringing the same integrity, resilience, and hands-on dedication that has defined his entire career. Together, Ian and Amy bring a rare blend of practical experience, community spirit, and genuine care to every guest who stays with them — values that have made them respected and well-known members of their community, and the true foundation of what Luzon Family Farm stands for today.
